Tech Support Girl

This blog was created because i needed a space to vent the reactions provoked by my job - technical support of certain software by e-mail. Sometimes people ask such questions that I really would like to say a couple of “very warm” words but I can’t! Yet it’s very difficult to keep it to myself.

Many of those things I also believe will be funny for technically literate people.

And I intend to include with the “sincere” reply the one that was actually sent. So perhaps this blog can also serve as a learning tool for myself and perhaps for someone else with the same problems! =))

Appeals into space: does it matter what company to ask for certain product support?

I can never understand why some people who purchased someone else’s software write to us asking for re-download, registration code or whatever.

I know that some who also purchased ours in a third party store together with another developers’ one may be mistaken thinking same people may help them.

I also know for a fact that some people who received support from us about our software in a similar situation then write to us asking about another software because the other developers do not respond, so there is this “logic” from a fable: I will look where there is light in the night, not where I lost that thing =))

But, in the name of the Universe, why someone who didn’t even buy our software writes to us requesting support about someone else’s software??? This is certainly beyond me!

No, wait, I have a guess! They make a search, come on a page where various software is listed and click on whatever support e-mail available not looking if it pertains to their software in question?..

But in general it is anyway like asking Audi about technical service or parts for BMW! I don’t know what those people are thinking or are they thinking at all?!
